HEYS! long time no post here already. For those who don't know or forget (hmph!), this is esther, ex harmoc member from 05/06. Just wanna congratulate you guys coz i could see the effort that you all put in. Especially section 1 jia yous!! as fanqi said, you guys can be either the heros or the one that harmed everyone. HAHA. not so serious la. but making excellent progress! remember, dun panic or just try to get over it, sect 1 you all can do it! Sect 2, my dear old section, cannot let your seniors diu lian. You all sitting right in the middle of the band. Mustn't panic and confuse your fellow band members. be steady and everything will be alright. listen carefully to other sections so that everyone is together. sect 3! the most steady section i think. but also the softest! must play louder ok, coz you all play beautifully. xian wei must have taught you all well =) chords, bass, pianica.. very impressive i must say. you guys are very special. coz can hear you all very obviously from the audience. hor hors. stressed. haha. remember wad linli said, open up the sound!! serene, jia yous for piano!! you play very well. coz i can tell you always follow the band. though they sometimes play fast/slow and duno wad (hmph!) you're very sensitive to the band's music, which is very good. so band, make serene's job easier!! dun rush!!!
anyway, important message is that, i think you guys are great. great learners, coz when seniors tell you all wad is wrong and all, you all can learn and correct pretty fast. you all really got musical flares. but then, you all tend to be forgetful. please always try to remember, go through the reminders and instructions before going on stage. dun talk and chat about unrelated to SYF stuff. when seated to play music, fix your eyes on mr soon and look very excited and passionate to bring songs that you like (i dun care if its true or not) to the audience. make them feel as happy and excited for the first song, then make them feel in love when the second comes. HAHa. dun be too distracted by the audience. just focus and remember what you must do. so well, all the best okies. sorry i can't come on sat and on mon, i'll be most likely watching the other schools. i'll try to sms/call someone to talk about the mistakes or commendable stuff other schools do so you all can avoid or learn. JIA YOUS JIA YOUS!
last but not least, enjoy your SYF okies. its a journey that shld be cherished.
